Cookies are small text files used to store small pieces of information. They are stored on your device when the website is loaded in your browser. These cookies help us ensure the website functions properly, improve security, enhance the user experience, and analyse website performance to identify what works and where improvements are needed. What Cookies May Collect

User Behaviour data

• Previous button: This is used to measure if a page isn’t clear enough, causing the user to go back multiple times within a single session.
• Next button: This will be used to calculate user progression through a sequence of pages, helping to determine how engaged users are and if they are proceeding as intended.
• Form submit: This is used to calculate the conversion rate based on the number of sessions compared to the number of form submissions.
• Abandonments: This is used to calculate drop offs in the configurator.
• Close form: This also is also used to calculate the drop offs, but this is done by a click from the user instead of for example closing the webpage.
• Session start: This is needed for measuring what happened in one session and also for the conversion rate.

 

Inputs (Data Collection for Analytics)

• Inputs track user interactions, such as whether a user has answered a question or selected an option, without saving the actual data entered. This helps Reuzenpanda analyse user behaviour and identify potential issues in the configurator. For example, it tracks if a user interacts with a form or question, helping to improve the user experience and find areas that need fixing.

 

Location Information

• This is used so that Reuzenpanda can gain insights into the regions or countries where the configurator is most popular. Based on this location data, Reuzenpanda may adjust the configurator experience, allowing users to see region specific content. This helps improve marketing strategies, offer localized content and improve services to better meet regional preferences or requirements.

 

Device information

• Storing device information, such as browser type, operating system and device model, is common for understanding how users access your system and optimizing the experience across different platforms. Device information helps identify which device is being used to open the configurator. This data can be used to focus more on the devices that are accessed more frequently or to identify issues with devices that, for example, have a lower conversion rate compared to PCs.

All analytics data is anonymized and stored in PostHog using session-based UUIDs. No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected.

Consent and Cookie Preferences

Non-essential cookies (analytical and marketing) are only set after you provide explicit consent through our Consent Management Platform (CMP). You can manage your cookie preferences at any time:

• Opt out of analytics

Data Anonymization and Storage

All data collected for analytics is anonymized using session-based UUIDs. No personally identifiable information (PII), such as names or email addresses, is stored or linked to individual users. Analytical data is processed via PostHog, which is self-hosted by Reuzenpanda to ensure data remains within the EU. For blob storage, we use MINIO with SSE-S3 encryption, as described in Amazon AWS guidelines Amazon AWS guidelines. No analytical data is shared with unauthorized third parties. It is only accessible through a dashboard by the team responsible for developing the configurator.

Enabling and disabling cookies

You can set your web browser to only accept cookies with your consent. Consult your browser guide for more information. Please note that many websites will not function optimally when cookies are disabled.  

Deleting cookies

Most cookies have an expiry date, when an expiry date is set the cookie will automatically delete itself when the date is passed. There is also an option to delete the cookies manually before the expiry date hits.
